WELCOME

On behalf of management and staff, I wish you a warm welcome to Pearly Shells!

We take great pride at Pearly Shells to meet the requirements of all our guests. We are an affiliated member of RCI.

May we please remind our guests, especially our Weekenders that it is not our wish to spoil your fun. We do, however, urge you to please take note that we do not allow under any circumstance disturbances of loud music, shouting, or any noise, whatsoever.

Children are not allowed to play in the corridors or lifts, i.e. any form of skateboards, scooters, bicycles, roller-skates are not allowed to be used on the property. Parents ensure that your children are controlled.

Please note the following

We supply large cutting boards, so that the Breakfast Unit Counter Top is not marked.

Scaling and cleaning of fish is not to be done in the baths, basins, or sinks. Clean and gut fish out of the unit.

For reasons known to us we would appreciate it if you could keep any liquor locked away when your unit is not occupied

Our Service

Daily service except Sundays and Public Holidays.

Beds will be made when your flat is serviced. 

We will wash dishes whilst servicing your flat.

Now is the time to relax and enjoy the lullaby of the warm Indian Ocean and for your convenience, we have compiled the following  information  together with important house rules :-

Closed – any queries or requirements please speak to attendant in the reception area or Caretaker on duty.

HOUSE RULES

We urge all guests to please familiarize themselves with our house rules, which are not to restrict Guests, but rather to ensure the rights of all our Guests and to control safety aspects.

Please settle your account on arrival, paying by credit card or cash.

It is important to us that you enjoy your stay. We invite guests to contact Reception if there is anything that can be done to improve Pearly Shells and make your stay in Scottburgh more enjoyable.

  1. Occupancy of apartments. The following maximum number of people including children are allowed per apartment :-
  • 1 Bedroom – 4 occupants (2 adults 2 children under 10 years of age)
  • 2 Bedroom – 6 occupants (4 adults 2 children under 10 years of age)
  • 3 Bedroom – 8 occupants (6 adults 2 children under 10 years of age)
  1. For security reasons Day Visitors are required to vacate the premises by 22h00.
  2. Inventories need to be checked and returned to the office within 24 hours of your arrival. If not received in the office we will assume all is in order. Also please make arrangements as to when it will suit you to have the apartment checked on your departure.
  3. You will be responsible for damages or breakage of equipment. Do not replace items which have been damaged or broken. Please report these to reception.
    1. Parking facility for one car per apartment is provided free of charge, and there is limited extra parking available at R40.00 per day. Please note that cars need to be identified with a valid Pearly Shells sticker on your windscreen. We request Guests to please ensure that stickers are displayed at all times.
    2. No domestic animals or pets are allowed on the premises. Only service dogs. Please enquire before booking.
    3. In the unlikely event of a fire please adhere to the Notice in your apartment.
    4. Please do not allow children to play in the corridors, lifts, car parks or entrance areas.
    5. Smokers please smoke on the balconies only. Ashtrays are provided – please use them.
    6. Quiet hours should be observed between 22h00 and 08h00.Your co-operation is appreciated.
    7. Please note, the remote with which you have been provided is not waterproof.

AMENITIES

  1. Games Room situated on ground level is open from 9h00 to 20h00 (Out of Season) and 9h00 to 22h00 (In Season). Equipment available from reception or porter’s desk.
  2. Pool opens from 9h30 to 20h00, please ensure that no glassware is in this area.
  3. Towels are changed twice weekly. Should you require an extra change of towels, either place them in bath or ask the maid. Beach towels are not provided, please do not use Pearly Shells towels at the Beach or Pool.
  4. Should you require extra help, please contact the Office Receptionist. Cleaning staff are not permitted to undertake personal tasks during working hours.
  5. Golf, Tennis, Bowls, Squash, Horse Riding and Scuba Diving within close proximity to Pearly Shells. If you have enquiries, please speak to our Receptionist.

IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT OF A FIRE

Please refer to the Notice in your apartment.

INDEMNITY STATEMENT

While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure the safety of our guests and their possessions on these premises, Pearly Shells and it’s agents cannot be held responsible for any damages or loss sustained by whatsoever cause.

ON DAY OF DEPARTURE

Please close your windows and do not switch the fridge off.

Be sure to hand your keys and remote to reception.

  • PLACE BOTH HANDS IN THE INDENTATION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FOOT PLATE AND LIFT ABOUT 2 CM
  • PULL THE BASE TOWARDS YOURSELF …EVENLY
